Product comparison methodology
SendBilling comparison pages are commercial content. They explain where SendBilling may fit, but they should also identify material differences, current limitations, and cases where another product offers broader capabilities.
What we compare
The pages compare publicly listed prices, plan limits, invoice creation, estimates, recurring billing, reporting, accounting scope, payment handling, and support. A focused invoicing product is not treated as equivalent to full accounting software.
Payment terminology
SendBilling does not have built-in payment processing or payment-provider synchronization. It can open an external payment URL supplied by the invoice sender. The customer pays outside SendBilling, and the sender updates payment status manually. Competitors with integrated payment acceptance are identified as having a different workflow.
Pricing method
Competitor prices are checked against official US pricing pages unless a comparison states another market. Temporary discounts are separated from standard list prices where the official page makes both available. Taxes, add-ons, payment-processing fees, and regional differences may change the total.
Primary sources
- QuickBooks Online pricing (official vendor page)
- FreshBooks pricing (official vendor page)
- Wave pricing (official vendor page)
- Xero US pricing (official vendor page)
- Zoho Invoice pricing (official vendor page)
Corrections and verification
Prices and features can change without notice. Readers should confirm purchase decisions on the vendor's official website. If a comparison conflicts with an official source, use the support page to report it.
How criteria are selected
Criteria come from the decision the page addresses. An invoicing comparison emphasizes document limits, recurring invoices, estimates, reminders, payment workflow, exports, users, and price. Accounting depth is included when a competitor provides bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, payroll, inventory, or tax capabilities that SendBilling does not.
A missing feature is not automatically a weakness for every buyer. Each page should explain which workflow benefits from it and which users may not need it.
How costs are calculated
Cost examples use the displayed list price, stated billing frequency, and clearly identified time period. Temporary discounts are not treated as permanent prices. Add-on users, payroll, payment fees, taxes, currency conversion, and market-specific charges are excluded unless the table explicitly includes them.
SendBilling's announced Pro and Lifetime prices are labelled planned while checkout is unavailable. They should not be presented as purchases a reader can complete today.
Commercial relationship and trademarks
Comparison pages promote SendBilling and are not independent editorial reviews. Competitor names and trademarks identify the products being compared; they do not imply sponsorship or endorsement. No placement or ranking should be sold without a clear disclosure.
Review and correction cycle
A visible review date records when key facts were last checked. Pages should be rechecked after a vendor announces a plan change and before a material purchasing campaign. A correction should update the relevant table, prose, FAQ, metadata date, and cost example together so contradictory versions do not remain on the same page.
