Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SendBilling (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service. By using SendBilling you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

When hosted authentication is enabled, Clerk handles sign-in and provides SendBilling with account identifiers and profile information such as your email address and name. SendBilling does not receive your plaintext password. In browser-only demonstration mode, account and application data remain in that browser's local storage.

1.2 Business data you create

Invoices, estimates, customers, products, transactions, and attachments you create live in your account. We treat this content as yours and use it to provide the features you request. We do not sell this business data.

1.3 Usage and device data

Hosting, authentication, and database providers may process technical request information needed to operate and secure the service. Their handling depends on the services configured for the deployment.

1.4 Payment data

Payments are processed by our billing provider (Polar.sh). We never see or store your full card number. This concerns SendBilling plan charges only; SendBilling does not handle payments on invoices created by users.

2. How we use information

  • To provide and operate SendBilling (creating invoices, sending emails, generating PDFs).
  • To let our billing provider process SendBilling subscription charges and manage your plan. SendBilling does not process payments on your invoices.
  • To send transactional emails (invoices you schedule, billing receipts, password resets, security alerts).
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues.

We do not use your business data to train AI models or sell it to third parties.

3. International transfers

Configured service providers may process data outside your country. Applicable locations and transfer safeguards depend on the hosting, authentication, database, email, and billing providers used by the production deployment.

4. Data retention

Account and business data are retained while needed to provide the service and meet applicable legal obligations. A precise deletion and backup-retention schedule is not currently published. Contact us before relying on a particular deletion deadline.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Export your data (CSV / PDF exports are available from inside the app at any time).
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Object to processing, or restrict it.

Email privacy@sendbilling.com to exercise any of these rights. Response deadlines required by applicable law will be honored.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for authentication, to remember your active business, and to persist UI preferences (theme, last-opened tab). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

7. Children

SendBilling is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact us and we'll remove the account.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify active users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

9. Contact
